AUTUMN ROCK 'N' RUN 5k
The City of Casselberry will be hosting Track Shack’s Autumn Rock ‘N’ Run 5k on Saturday, September 11, 2010. The race will begin at City Hall at 7:30 a.m. Runners and walkers will enjoy this 3.1 mile route that starts and finishes beneath the shade of the 100-year old oak trees at Lake Concord Park. The route meanders past lakes and parks and will showcase our wonderful community. Look for live music along the course to keep your running rhythm rockin'!
The Casselberry Police Department will begin closing all streets affected by the route at 6:30 a.m. The roads will be opened immediately after the last runner passes each street crossing. Please review the course map, as the road closings may affect your travel.
We encourage you to be part of this event by coming out to enjoy the race and cheer the runners passing by. If you would like to participate as a walker or runner, registration is available at www.trackshack.com and there is a special award for the fastest male and female Casselberry resident. At the end of the race, there will be a FREE ‘Way Cool’ Kids’ Run starting at City Hall at 8:45 a.m. Proceeds from the Autumn Rock ‘N’ Run 5K, presented by Florida Hospital, will support the cultural arts in our community.

Lake Concord Park Project
Located near the southern shore of Lake Concord, this Park features an educational boardwalk, extensive wetland revegetation, new park facilities, two fountains, and multiple stormwater retrofits designed to pre-treat stormwater runoff before it reaches the lake. Previously known as Anniversary Park, the park has been officially renamed Lake Concord Park. Lake Concord Park is part of the City Hall Complex and part of the City Center vision for the City of Casselberry. The project was completed in October 2009, and on June 11, 2010 the City was presented with the Excellence Award from the Florida Stormwater Association.
